Pastel Wedding Colors at Prospect House Texas

[ad_1]

When Morgan + Anthony approached Amuse Event Co. for their Texas wedding, they knew they wanted a fun, casual party that would be a blast for guests—90% of which came from out of town—but they weren’t sure where to start. But after brainstorm sessions and moodboard drafts, they landed on the perfect garden party design—refined, yet playful. With pastel wedding colors, bright blooms, and modern signage (handmade by the bride!) to pop against the Prospect House’s all-white interior, guests were surrounded by joyful details all the while sipping drinks and dancing all night long.

Thanks to Caitlin Rose Photography for sharing the beautiful images below!

Enlisting Amuse Event Co. on planning and design ensured cohesion throughout each element, beginning with these romantic pastel wedding invitations. Would make lovely invites for a spring wedding, too, of course!

The couple says, It was important that the venue include a scenic outdoor element. This led us to select Prospect House, given its unobstructed Texas hill country backdrop and combination of modern and rustic design. The bud vase wall inside Prospect House’s breezeway was a unique feature of the venue that we didn’t know we needed!

Vibrant flowers by Native Bloom Floral adorned the ceremony arch, bud vase wall, wagon wheel above the reception space, and more. Amuse Event Co. helped them incorporate favorite colors like orange and lavender to complement the all-white space without feeling out of place. This resulted in soft pastel wedding hues accented by bright pops of color in the flowers, which kept everything feeling elevated and refined, yet whimsical and celebratory.

It was important to us that we read aloud written “vows” during the ceremony. Even though this isn’t customary, at the approximately 1 in 10 weddings we have attended where the couple did this, we found it incredibly moving.

Such a gorgeous escort card display—love the colorblocking! Even better, it contains a handwritten note from the couple to each guest to read as they were seated.

On their favorite wedding DIYs: We loved seeing the escort card display come together. It was a time-intensive labor of love to write all the cards for our guests, but they looked so good once organized up on the wall. Morgan had also handmade all wedding-day signage by working in a makerspace in Cambridge, Massachusetts (think laser cutters, vinyl cutters, and 3D printers). We impressed ourselves and our friends and family with the effort that went into these elements.

The reception area included two different table designs, one with mixed frog pin florals and taper candles and another with bud vases and pillar candles.

Rather than stick to traditions that didn’t hold meaning for them, they featured less common elements guests would enjoy, like enlisting watercolor portrait painter Alyssa Love to create portraits throughout the evening. Portrait artists are such a fun trend this year, along with these other interactive guest experiences.

Light-up cowboy hats are kind of a dance party must at this point, right!? The couple were all about a fabulous dance party, but they wanted to make sure guests had options to mingle if they weren’t into dancing. By keeping a bar open outside into the night and sprinkling in furniture, they had plenty of space for everyone to enjoy in their own way.

The private last dance was meaningful to us in that it was really the one and only chance for us to enjoy the reception space alone and reflect on the day before the final send-off. The song we chose was “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” by The Beach Boys, a contender for our first dance track. Although we loved the upbeat tune and fitting lyrics, dancing to it proved too difficult to do in front of an audience — but in private there was no risk of making fools of ourselves!

Parting advice from our couple… Align on what is most important to each of you, and let the person who has stronger feelings about that element take the lead on decision-making! Think back on others’ weddings you have attended and prioritize the things that stuck with you as most meaningful and memorable.

Working with Amuse was such a delight and they will expertly help you bring your vision to life. We are still getting compliments on our color scheme and decor even weeks after our wedding. We can confidently say that engaging Amusé was one of the very best decisions we made in the process!
