Heather and Meena met at a Diwali festival in London. That evening, a conversation turned into a connection, and several years later, that same energy shaped the way they approached their wedding. They chose Italy as their location and hired Wedding in Sicily to handle everything for them.

The celebration blended Meena’s Indian culture and colours with an English garden charm to represent Heather. The venue, a villa surrounded by olive trees, was their biggest splurge. “It wasn’t cheap,” they admitted, “but being able to host everyone in such a beautiful place made it worth it.”

They wanted the day to reflected both of their backgrounds in a way that felt honest, not forced. Meena wore a red and gold lehenga while Heather was in green. For dinner they served mini chicken tikka pies, roast dinner biryani, and saffron trifle. “Honestly, thinking about the menu was the best part of planning,” Meena said.
The party was their best part of the day. “We danced all night with everyone we love,” Heather concluded. “That’s the bit I keep replaying.”
