When asked what the vibe of my wedding would be, I would say it was “Bridgerton-esque garden party” that incorporated lots of color. I chose Barnsley Resort as my venue because it perfectly captured that essence. Once all the decorations came together on the wedding day, it felt like I was walking into a fairytale! We encouraged guests to dress for “Easter Sunday” by wearing sundresses and pastel colors. Some of my favorite parts of the design include the multicolored floral arch, ornate chandeliers hung throughout the venue, and parasols held by the guests to shade them from the Georgia heat!

[field title=”Proposal Story”] told Austin that there was no way that he could surprise me when we got engaged, because I always accidentally ruin surprises for myself. Austin took this as a challenge and would pretend to propose whenever we were anywhere that would be appropriate for a proposal. Because of this, I would run away from him whenever he started to get down on one knee. When the day actually came, we were behind home plate at the Braves game (one of our favorite Atlanta activities to go to) and Austin wrapped his arms around me and asked me to marry him. I know now that he held me like that to make sure that I didn’t run away from him since this was the actual proposal. Obviously I said yes, and then we had a great night eating burgers and watching baseball![/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]For Meredith and Austyn’s wedding, the menu had a blend of Southern charm and global flavors. Guests were treated to appetizers like pimento cheese fritters with bacon pepper jam and pork dumplings with orange honey glaze, setting the tone for a truly unique culinary experience. The antipasto station offered a Mediterranean flair, while the pasta bar and prime rib station added hearty, comforting options. Paired with craft beers, house wines, and refreshing hard seltzers, the entire menu captured the balance of sophistication and warmth that defined their special day.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]To embody the garden-theme design, we really wanted to bring lush eliminates to the lawn area for ceremony. We tucked bright blooms into the natural ivy on the side of The Ruins. With it being the first true hot day of the summer, the team was pushed to make a decision on ways to provide shade for guests. The parasols were the perfect touch to for this garden wedding. The baskets with ample florals and the beautiful aisle meadows created the perfect addition to the theme.
For cocktail hour, the guests are able to explore through The Ruins. To compliment the natural elements of what was once a home, we brought in ample lounge pieces to create gathering areas for guests to give it a home-y feel. To add elegant touches, the floral team incorporated beautiful chandeliers throughout the home. To continue the natural landscaping of The Ruins, the florist added whimsical foliage to each fireplace.
In reception, we wanted to lighten the wood of The Pavilion and bring in classic touches. With that, the design team added ample drapery and beautiful chandeliers. With customized linens and lush centerpieces, the guests were in awe when they made the final decent into The Pavilion for dinner and dancing. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Meredith embraced the vintage design trend with her wedding cake, perfectly complementing the timeless charm of her venue. The cake’s intricate buttercream detailing and scalloped design exuded vintage-inspired elegance, while its soft ivory tone harmonized beautifully with the surrounding delicate floral arrangements, creating a romantic and sophisticated atmosphere. The cake’s bottom tiers, filled with zesty lemon, offered a refreshing contrast to the rich chocolate in the top tiers, making it a stunning centerpiece for this elegant garden-style celebration.
