We are so thrilled to shine a spotlight on the magical bridal style of real bride Kristin O’Shea. Here, we find out all about what she wore on her journey to the aisle and beyond, where she shopped, and how she accessorised!
Let’s get to know our bride… GAA fans will need no introduction to this wonderful couple, Kristin’s hubby is none other than Mayo star Aidan O’Shea. No doubt they felt like royalty as he picked a dazzling location to propose, he popped the question in the regal surrounds of Ashford Castle in Co. Mayo.
Kristin describes herself as being a “minimal maximalist” when it comes to her style.
“I love keeping things simple but also allowing my personality shine through. I kept the majority of my looks very minimal but always ensured there was a pop of fun.“
When it came to her bridal style inspiration, she says:
“I adore the style on Bridgerton and anything regal and classic. I have always been fascinated with regal weddings. In particular Princess Diana – iconic!”
She shone bright in silver as she celebrated with her nearest and dearest wearing a metallic midi from Zara and an iconic pair of bridal heels, the Hangisi shoe by Manolo Blahnik.

Kristin was ready to party in serious style wearing a bardot satin Odd Muse dress which she accessorised with a pretty pearl bag from Penneys and an absolutely darling short veil. She used dramatic earrings to elevate many of her looks, such as her cascading pearl earrings by ASOS.
To practice for the all-important walk down the aisle she exuded contemporary chic wearing a lustrous Aurora co-ord by Sinead Keary which was paired with a Gucci shoulder bag with a gold chain and her trusty Manolos.
She embraced one of the hottest bridal style trends, the drop waist dress, the night before with her sumptuous satin Odella midi by Lovers & Friends.
Kristin and Aidan celebrated their happiest day in the luxurious surrounds of Muckross Park Hotel & Spa which is located in the heart of Killarney National Park.
Kristin was simply breathtaking on her wedding day wearing a Chosen By Kyha gown with a square neckline and she upped the fairytale factor with an enchanting overskirt also by the Australian bridal brand.
“I absolutely adored every second of the shopping process but definitely felt a time pressure. We got married exactly a year after we got engaged so I started wedding dress shopping almost immediately knowing that the lead times could be nine months +. I wasn’t drawn to dresses that had too much embellishment or detail.I visited 12 bridal boutiques all around Ireland before I finally found the one!”
Amongst her sublime accessories were the Jimmy Choo Saeda pumps with crystal-embellished straps. They are set to become a wardrobe staple she says.
“I’m going to dye them black and plan on wearing them to death!”
We had to give you a closer look at her sensational floral headpiece by Irish milliner Carol Kennelly which was married with a cathedral veil by Harriet Flavey.
It’s not just brides who can wear birdcage veils, bridesmaids can too as Kristin’s leading ladies proved so elegantly. They wore champagne satin dresses by Rumer with birdcage veils by Harriet Flavey.
For brides who want to refresh their look throughout their wedding day but they don’t want to change their dress, they should take a leaf out of Kristin’s book as she wore not one but three gorgeous veils, all from Harriet Flavey.
“I loved all my veils – especially my ponytail veil!! I felt they really pulled my vision together.”
Then she slipped into a sleek Reformation gown with ultra-thin straps, demure yet dazzling!
If you thought the style-fest was over, you’re mistaken! The newlywed wore an uber-chic co-ord from Fusion Fashion Boutique in Galway comprising of an crop top with a fabulous floral detail and a flowing skirt.
She sweetened the sartorial deal by adding a ruffled bag and oversized pearl earrings from ASOS and she rewore her wedding day shoes.
“Stay true to yourself and don’t be influenced by what others think looks good on you/suits you. Maybe do a bridal fitting on your own so you have time to really think and not get caught up on the occasion.”
A massive thank you to our fabulous bride Kristin, you can see even more pictures in the gallery below!
